Our housekeeper’s name is Barbara Hinds.  Mrs. Hinds is a pleasant woman who has been working for our family for many years, and she is an excellent cook.  A gratuity payment to her is always optional, but we encourage it if she provides you a more than satisfactory level of service.  A suggested minimum gratuity for her is 10% of the total rental charges.

Private gym facilities are operated on the property by Randy Myers and must be booked and paid for separately.   Mr. Myers can be reached at +1 (876) 441-2032.  See the Front Office for further details.

FRONT OFFICE:

The Front Office hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm on Monday to Friday and 9:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday.  The office is closed on Sunday.  A supervisor is always on property and available at the Front Office after closing hours.  The Front Office can be reached on +1 (876) 974-2940.

WI-FI & TELEPHONE:

The apartment has wi-fi internet access.  A private telephone line can also be made available upon request.  Overseas telephone calls can also be made at the Front Office and paid for at the end of your stay.

PETS:

Unfortunately, no pets will be allowed in the apartment.

HOUSEKEEPER/COOK:

Our housekeeper is available from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm to attend to your housekeeping needs.  For an additional charge, she will also prepare all of your meals.

BABYSITTING:

Babysitting/nanny services can be arranged with the Front Office.  Advance notice is required.

SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX:

We suggest that you place your valuables in the safety deposit box located in the apartment. The cost is US$3.00 per night.

TRANSPORTATION:

Columbus Heights is within easy walking-distance of the Ocho Rios town centre.  The Front Office will, however, gladly assist you with your travel arrangements to the town centre or elsewhere.  Special arrangements can be made for taxis to take you to and from world-famous Dunn’s River Falls.  Check with the Front Office on the cost.  Airport transfers to and from Columbus Heights and all points near Ocho Rios town centre are very convenient.  Taxi or bus service or car rental can be easily arranged at your point of entry.  Travel time from the Kingston airport (Norman Manley International) is approximately two hours, and from Montego Bay airport (Sangster International), 90 minutes.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT:

Normal check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 noon.  Early check-in or late check-out is available at one half of the applicable daily rate.  It will necessary to make arrangements with the Front Office for check-in earlier than 8:30 am or check-out later than 4:30 pm.

COMMISSARY:

There is a commissary on the property, and opening hours are 7:00 am – 10:00 pm.  Ask at the Front Office for more details.  You will be provided a complimentary “continental breakfast starter kit” consisting of coffee, bread, and milk for your first morning in the apartment.

POSTAL SERVICES:

Postage stamps can be purchased at the Front Office.

MESSAGES:

The Front Office will deliver all messages to the apartment.

FACSIMILE:

Facsimile services are available at the Front Office.  Charges will apply.

GRATUITY:

Tipping is customary and is to be paid directly to each service provider, including the housekeeper, based on the level of service.  Your travel agent voucher will have the recommended amount.  If you need verification of the appropriate gratuity, please contact the Front Office.
